HORRIBLE SERVICE!!

I was looking for a cheap plane ticket to visit my sick grandmother on short notice, I came across this website and thought it sounded good. I ended up buying a cheap round trip ticket but shortly after found out a new law was implemented requiring me to have a passport or Real ID to travel domestically, I have neither of these things so I tried to cancel my flight, there is no option to cancel on their website or in their emails, I called their “24/7 customer service line” and that in itself was a joke, the call was picked up and hung up immediately 4 times. After a while I decided to call them back and got hung up on immediately again. The next day I called them and explained the situation, deciding to let the experience I had the night prior go, I was told that the person who needed to help me was on a lunch break and I would get a call in 15 minutes, which was fine with me I was just glad they picked up and talked to me. It took 2 and a half hours to hear back from them, and when I got a call the lady was VERY rude, I explained to her, calmly, why I was canceling and that the money hadn’t been taken out of my account yet but I would like for them to prevent that transaction from going through since I’m not going to be going. This lady then tried to argue with me that they had already taken the money, I had my banking app pulled up and not a single transaction was even pending. I let the lady know that they haven’t yet taken the money so it would generous of them if they would just stop the payment from going through to which she continued to argue with me then telling me that since I failed to call them 24 hours after booking with them I still had to pay them $150. I let her know that it actually was about 20 ish minutes away from 24 hours after booking and that I had A) made pervious attempts to contact them, and B) called them 2 and a half hours ago, so if it’s too late that is not my fault, I did my best to call them sooner. The lady went on still telling me that she would not be canceling my ticket. I then had to threaten to call my bank and shut my card off, or transfer my money to a different account, she replied with “that is your choice, we will get your money anyways” that in itself was extremely off putting, and super unprofessional, I ended up calling my bank and telling them to shut my card off. Overall my experience with these “expert customer service people” was extremely poor and unprofessional in every way possible. I wish I had read reviews previous to using this website and will be posting this review everywhere I can. You can call me a Karen and I am okay with that, but this site is not to be trusted.

THIS IS A SCAM!!!!! DON'T WASTE TIME/MONEY/SANITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased 3 tickets on Delta through Travoport on 5/18. The amount for each ticket was $240.70. The flights were on Delta Airlines from Ontario Airport to Seattle. I was purchasing these tickets for my elderly mother, my disabled brother & mentally delayed, step-brother so they could attend my son's wedding in June. I put them in my brother's name and put his contact info on the itinerary. They started calling my brother at 7 am on 5/19. They stated that these tickets weren't guaranteed, that they only had 1 confirmed seat available, and that my mom & brother would have to fly stand-by while my step-brother was a confirmed passenger. They pressed my brother to make a decision about taking the deal they were offering. I was at work, so rather than call me initially, he attempted to make the necessary changes so that all 3 of them would be able to fly together. They changed the airport to LAX (over 100 miles away). I tried to call during my lunch to figure out what was going on, and spoke to an agent named Jay, who confirmed all of this, but they needed my authorization to make these changes. My brother had already accepted this change, so I figured ok, however, these folks had already charged my credit card $523.88 and later attempted to collect another $419.22. My bank flagged this as fraud and stopped payment on it. When speaking again with Jay where I attempted to cancel the transaction, I was told that I couldn't do so. It seems as if this was a clear case of bait & switch. They also told my brother that there was no guarantee that the fares wouldn't increase again. I HAVE CONTACTED THE BBB & MY STATE'S ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE ABOUT THIS!!!!!!!

These scammers should be in jail

Manipulating people during travel time should not only never be allowed but it should be punishable too. They appear to be selling tickets at reasonable prices. However, as soon as they charge your credit card and have the number, you get a call to contact them to follow up on the ticket! Sure, you end up calling and leaving messages multiple times as no one expects the severity of the scam from a website with a phone number on it. All the negative reviews on this site are correct. 1. They tell you the ticket will be issued 24 hrs before your travel and it is not guaranteed. You will be in standby mode. The airline may have to put you on another flight! They offer a secured ticket for additional payment, which makes the ticket more expensive than buying a regular ticket from the airline! 2. No carry on and no personal items allowed! Pay more to get it! 3. Your money is not refundable. 4. You may get cussed out if you try to ask them to do the right thing! I had to call my credit card company, cancel my card and get a new one. That is more than a week of delay at a stressful time just before travel. Please expose those crooks everywhere you can. They use Bazar manipulation and deceptions to lure people into expensive purchases and an unpleasant experience at a stressful time before travel.

Undisclosed baggage charges

Bought a ticket for $283. Read all the information given by Travoport where I purchased it online. Basic stuff about not being able to change the date or person using the ticket. Ok got it, makes sense. Then get a call and email to get in touch with them. Call and find out they will HAVE to charge me full fare if I have luggage, even carry on. I can only have a 4lb personal item. WTH! I went round and round with the dude from INDIA. Now we are talking over $550 for my ticket. I could get cheaper going directly through Delta and check my bags in on top of it. 😡 I told him I was demanding a refund because they are running a scam. He of course argued with me and tried to justify the extra $280 I would have to pay to even have a freaking carry on. No where was it written where I ordered the ticket that this was disclosed. He said he would have to speak to Delta about the refund because they are a travel agent. They are a scamming travel agent!!! Don’t ever use them !!! Who knows if I’ll see that money back. BOA was also no help as well!!!😐️

BIGGEST SCAM

If I could give zero stars I would. I had so many issues using this that it’s basically ruined my trip. I will never never use this site again and I’m scared to use any other similar site. They charged me an extra charge after purchasing my flights because apparently, the seats I booked were not available anymore. Not my problem right? Well apparently I have to pay for their problem which is also apparently an “upgrade”. This upgrade doesn’t include any bags, I still have to purchase any bags I want and I don’t get anything extra. So how is this an upgrade that I’m forced to pay for? I have absolutely no idea and after being on the phone with them for over 2 hours they could not seem to give me an answer. Please do not use Travoport it is the biggest scam ever. I now need to adjust my flights and I can’t do anything. They wouldn’t let me cancel it after I had to pay twice as much extra and I’m just so frustrated and disappointed my whole trip is ruined. Please if you want to have a nice enjoyable trip do NOT use this.

This site is a scam site

Travoport is a scam agency and try all way to steal your money. I just booked a round trip ticket from Toronto to New York cost USD$294, however, they didn't provide me the ticket and asked me to call. I called a few minutes after the booking, and surprisingly they said my book was sold out and tried to found me an alternative with at least usd$400 more and tried foced me to accept, I said it is too expensive and requested to cancel it, they said no refund in case of cancellation. They cannot charge my credit card and said all my information is with them and they can get the money. I asked to talk to the manager and the manger did the same way tried to find an alternative with much higher price, I requested to cancel the book and he said no refund, if they cannot get the money they will put me in black list and no fly with all airlines within next half year. It is so bad and please take my experience as a learned lesson, and don't do anything with this agency TRAVOPORT. Thank you for your attention!

It was abundantly clear: they had no intention of honoring their advertised prices, opting instead to manipulate and coerce customers into paying more.If you value your sanity and wish to spare yourself the agony of dealing with Travoport's Machiavellian schemes, heed my warning: steer clear. Choose any other travel agency for peace of mind and a hassle-free journey. Travoport deserves nothing more than a solitary star, a dismal reflection of their shameful practices.
