I decided to give Lens
I decided to give Lens Direct a try and sent them my designer frames to get new lenses. After a whole month, their order tracker still showed my lenses were being made. Annoyed, I reached out to their customer service. Suddenly, they were magically done and shipped back to me within a minute. I can't help but feel like my order was just sitting around until I complained. To make matters worse, I also ordered a pair of glasses through my government insurance on the same day, and those were ready over a week ago. It's pretty frustrating that my expensive, out-of-pocket frames took longer than my free government ones. I'll update this once I finally receive my glasses.

I called LensDirect about the
I called LensDirect about the delay with my order and the representative didn’t seem to take my concern seriously. She tried to speed things up but didn't explain why there was a delay in the first place. I placed my order on January 1st and only found out about the delay on January 30th. It’s been 30 days without my glasses, which is super inconvenient. Even worse, I didn't get any real explanation until February 4th. This doesn’t seem like good business to me. I feel they should have offered some sort of discount for the inconvenience. Overall, really disappointed with how this was handled.

I feel like I'm stuck in a never-ending loop with this company. I was told several times over two weeks that my contacts had already shipped, only to be hit with a story about a backorder. This isn't the first time, either. A few months back, they assured me my order was on its way, then suddenly it was "backordered" for a week. Their promises to overnight my contacts? Just empty words. I rely on my contacts for work, and dealing with this company has been nothing but frustrating. Their customer service is a mess, with different employees giving me conflicting information. Supporting veterans was what drew me to them, but treating customers like this is far from supportive.

I placed an order for a Christmas gift on December 16th, excited about the 30% off for new customers. But when I went back to check, the discount had vanished. Weird, right? A rep was kind enough to offer 15% instead, so I took it. I asked if they could upgrade the shipping because of all the trouble, but they said no, promising I'd get it before Christmas. Fast forward to December 31st, and I get a shipping notification. Called them up, and they said it was just mailed out and would take another 5-7 business days. So, not only did I miss Christmas, it's almost a month now. The rep blamed the postal service but then admitted they shipped late. Super frustrating.

I've mostly worn progressive lenses
I've mostly worn progressive lenses for reading, and my distance vision's usually fine. I sent in my new frames and prescription to LensDirect. When I got them back, one lens was noticeably thicker than the other. Now, my plates look oval instead of round, and my phone’s top looks wider than the bottom. Even sentences in books appear slightly arched. Clearly, something’s off with these lenses. This was my first time ordering lenses online, and it's been a letdown. I've had to switch back to my old glasses just to read clearly. In 24 years of wearing progressive lenses, this is my first bad experience. Hoping LensDirect can fix this soon.

I’ve never been more frustrated
I’ve never been more frustrated with a company. They kept emailing me over and over asking for the same details – I lost count after the 19th email. I answered every single one, but it just felt like a loop. What’s worse, they claim it takes 10-14 business days, but it’s way longer. Customer service? Useless. They couldn’t answer the simplest questions. I tracked my frames, and they arrived on January 13th, but Lensdirect didn’t acknowledge the delivery until the 23rd. Only then did they start their 10-14 day countdown. I’m worried my frames will get lost because they seem so disorganized. Never going through this mess again.

So, I decided to try LensDirect for my contacts since they had a good coupon for first-time orders. Everything seemed fine until two weeks went by and still no contacts. When I reached out, they told me my $500+ order was on hold, but no one informed me. They sure were quick to take my $524, though. I spent almost an hour on chat, but couldn't get a clear answer on the shipping date. Asked for a partial refund for the hassle, but they refused, saying I already used a 20% coupon. Seriously? They messed up my order and still wouldn't budge. Customer service was a letdown. Not ordering from them again.

I’ve been loyal to this company for years, but each time my glasses come back with some problem. Sometimes they’re stretched out, sometimes damaged. Usually, they manage to fix them after I send them back. This year, though, was a real letdown. My frames came back scratched and damaged, and they couldn't repair them. Considering how pricey and irreplaceable frames can be, this was super frustrating. Their response? A measly 10% off lenses, which didn’t even touch the frame issue. That's a regular sale discount! I’m really disappointed and will be looking for another company. This was the last straw.

So, I tried getting progressive lenses from Lens Direct, and what a mess that turned out to be. First attempt, they didn't work. Second attempt, still no luck. I finally had to settle for single vision lenses, which was super frustrating. On top of that, they wouldn't even refund me the difference for the cheaper lenses. I ended up waiting a whopping five months to get glasses that actually worked. Honestly, it was such a hassle and a waste of time. If you're thinking about getting progressives from here, I'd seriously recommend looking elsewhere. This experience was just too frustrating.

I had a pretty rough
I had a pretty rough experience with LensDirect.com. I sent them my prescription sunglasses and they ended up breaking them. When I contacted them, they assured me over the phone that we had come to a resolution. But then, twice after that, they sent me emails changing what we agreed on. It felt like they were trying to back out of compensating me. It's really frustrating and now I'm wondering if they’re even a legit company or just out to scam people. All in all, not a good experience at all and I wouldn't trust them with my glasses again.

It took me a while but I finally figured out that lenses I received from lensdirect.com were poor quality. They seemed a bit off at first but I just wrote that off as "new frames, new lenses, I'll adjust." Well, after doing a comparison with the previous lenses there's no doubt. The quality control in producing my progressives was poor. Lensdirect.com offers some cheap frame options but their lenses are not much less than those of a conventional optometrist. Don't waste you're money trying to save a few bucks. It's not worth it.

Ordered new lenses in July
Ordered new lenses in July, sent my frames, waited 7 weeks for the new lenses, but guess what? Couldn't see a thing. Sent them back, waited another agonizing 8 weeks, got the lenses again, and still blind as a bat. They said return for a refund, which I did. Frames came back in October, but no refund yet. Hit them up multiple times, got the runaround. It's December, still no glasses, and staring at a hefty $554 bill. Absolute nightmare. Never, ever going near this company again. Just a heads-up, they're a total letdown.

Just started using LensDirect and had a big question about what happens if my prescription needs tweaking. The FAQ on their site says they’ll remake lenses if I cover the shipping. Now, my lenses need adjusting, and suddenly, they're saying there's some other policy I’ve never heard of. Tried looking it up on Google, no info on this mysterious policy. Honestly, it’s frustrating. Previously, I had a way smoother experience with a different lens company. Feeling pretty let down and confused by the whole thing.

I thought I'd give this company a shot for some new lenses, but wow, what a mistake. They said it would take 10-12 business days, but it dragged on for 25 days. And when I finally got them, the lenses don't even fit my frames. Like, how does that even happen? Total waste of time and money. I can't believe they call themselves professionals. If you're thinking of buying from them, just don't. There are way better options out there.

I ordered a lens replacement back in February 2025 and got the wrong glasses. Annoying, right? So, I reordered in March, thinking it would be sorted out. But now, the status is pending inventory, and it's been ages. I've sent multiple emails, but no one's responding. Honestly, it's frustrating. I just want my frames back at this point. I've been waiting ages for my contacts, seriously over three weeks now. Paid extra to get them faster, but they can't even tell me where they are. No clue at all. Pretty sure they're lost in the system somewhere. They should really fix this mess and send my contacts immediately. I need them in the next couple of days. My experience with this company was quite bad. They mistakenly billed me for the next three months immediately after my initial purchase, and to make matters worse, it was charged to the wrong credit account. Although they resolved the issue when I contacted them, the promised refund will take 3-5 business days. Dealing with this inconvenience was certainly irritating.

Disappointing customer service experience. My glasses were returned with a missing nose pad and damaged insert bracket. Despite reaching out to the company for assistance, I received no response. It seems customer support is lacking once they've secured your payment. Disheartening and frustrating, to say the least.
