Ugh, this airline ticket saga
Ugh, this airline ticket saga was a total nightmare! So, I grab this ticket deal, right? Then out of the blue, I get a call from a fast-talking dude with an accent thicker than molasses. Couldn't make heads or tails of what he was saying until I practically yelled at him to slow down. And get this, it sounded like a whole room of people doing the same bait and switch hustle.
They hit me with the classic trio of scams – first, my San Diego direct flight was suddenly "sold out." Then, they shuffled me onto other airlines, none with direct flights, and slapped me with a bill that's more than double what I coughed up initially. Plus, they messed with my conference plans, pushing my arrival time to a ridiculous 9:35 PM instead of a decent 10 AM.
When I threw a fit, Mr. Fast Talker miraculously pulled some strings, got "special permission" from his supervisor for my original flight out. And surprise, surprise, the return flight drama got some special permission too, but only after I caught onto their sneaky game. What a bunch of scammers!
Bottom line – steer clear of these fraudsters. They lure you in with cheap flights and then pull this royal screw-over move when you least expect it. Sneaky, sneaky!
